Small groups at Westover Hills are exactly what they sound like – a small group of people getting together. We like to say they're a place to belong and become. It's the goal of Pastor Greg Jenkins that you'll experience a sense of "belonging" while developing friendships with those in your group, and also grow in faith, "becoming" the person God intended you to be.
With such a large and diverse congregation, we strive to offer a variety of groups that bring people together based on common interest, age or life stage. You can also choose a group based on what they're studying, or by location if you prefer one that's close to home. Search our online listings and when you find a group you'd like to try, simply contact the leader and make plans to attend the group's next gathering.
You can also start your own group. Get in touch with the Small Groups/Discipleship ministry and they'll give you information on the requirements and the next orientation for new leaders.
Discipleship describes the lifelong process of following the example of Jesus. Our discipleship courses are designed to help you on that journey whether you are a new believer or a longtime Christian. Our essentials of faith classes cover the key components of Christianity. We also offer elective courses each quarter, covering a wide range of topics, from in-depth Bible studies to parenting classes. You'll hear about them in The Current and find information about them in the monthly brochure.
